Daily Duties at Wachovia Bank:

The Risk Management Team was responsible for performing risk assessments and providing support to all retail banking products, including internet, email and correspondence groups within the call center. Call Centers were located throughout the East coast of the US, for a total of 9 locations and handle over 10 million calls a month. The team's goal was to balance risk-reward and implement solutions that minimize the risk to the company. All processes from First Union for the Risk Management group were adopted by Wachovia's new Risk Management Group within the call center. Developed testing strategies and methodologies; evaluated the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls; analyzed business and/or systems changes to determine impact; identified and assessed operational risk issues and assigned risk ratings consistent with established policy standards.
