• Worked independently to establish linker histone H1.5 as breast cancer • Performed confocal microscopy to examine localization of linker histone H1.5 in luminal breast cancer and primary mammary epithelial cell lines • Performed ChIP-chip and ChIP-seq analysis to study the role of Histone H1.5 in various breast cancer sub-types • Conducted research as part of multidisciplinary team to address the importance of arginine residues in chromatin structure • Performed confocal microscopy to examine function of histone mutants in mammalian cell lines • Established, troubleshot and optimized SOP for large scale in vitro chromatin assembly- a key in vitro approach to examine chromatin compaction • Strong skills in use of ÄKTAxpress system to performed large scale protein purification for various biochemical assays. Purified 15 recombinant proteins • Performed RNA-seq analysis of mammalian cells overexpressing mutant histones to identify biological processes involved in alteration of chromatin structure in vivo
