Daily Duties at Marvel Industries:

§ Plans global supply requirements and fine tuning the plan to variances during the execution. § Creates and maintains a global forecast through which revenue plans and sales are translated into build plans and stocking plans § Oversees the master schedules and ensures compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing § Resolves labor and material shortages, backlog and other schedule interruptions § Participates in process and operation improvement opportunities § Responds to internal and external inquiries § Complies with company quality management systems, policies and procedures Analyze demand trends and forecast for assigned product groups. Includes pulling data from multiple sources (SAP, Customer sources, etc)and leading meetings to collaborate with functional areas of sales, marketing, finance and operations to produce SKU level demand forecasts. Support new product launch and direct conversion teams. Participate in and lead cross-functional teams to support launch and conversion initiatives which relate to product supply and inventory, and plant production manning.Planning Analyst is accountable for accuracy of the various forecasts produced. The function is performed because forecast accuracy directly impacts service levels, margin improvement and inventory turns for their business group. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Operational Sales Forecast Management.Manages store and DC level operational sales forecasts including base demand, promotional demand, and profile adjustments - and being able to determine which needs changed, where and by how much..With direction from customer service and materials group initializes new item forecasts appropriately within the operational systems at a OEM/distributor/item and item/DC level.Given timing of items drops, zeroes out sales forecasts in operational and planning systems in accord with that timing.Performs analysis recommending sales lifts for promotions, NLPs and other events and after consensus is achieved inputs those lifts into operational systems. .Performs analysis on forecasts and adjusts forecasts per request from many sources.Vendor Forecast Management.Creates and communicates sales forecasts for less important vendors (Informational and Ad-hoc vendors) according to the established forecast schedule..Reviews and manages vendor sales forecast accuracy monthly to determine root cause of errors for vendors managed.Other.Provides ad-hoc data analysis on forecasts in many forms for many purposes. Managed all incoming raw materials by creating all plant production schedules. The schedules meeting all live customer orders and stock replenishment orders for OEM, distributors both domestic and commercial lines, and all special job shop request. The schedules managed covered daily, weekly and monthly activities of all machining activities, sub-assembly, assembly and 100% final quality inspection and shipments.
