Worked in a dual capacity as Director of FPA and Controller during tenure. As Dircetor of FP&A, engaged to implement a financial planning process which included working closely with departmental heads to formulate the plan including both headcount and other departmental spending. Assessed the actual departmental performance relative to the plan by calculating the variances and then worked with departmental heads to formalize the variance analysis. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the accounting, financial reporting, and financial planning function. Managing a staff of two to ensure proper processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense reporting, payroll and employee benefits, and inventory management. Possess a sound understanding of accounting standards under GAAP as well as demonstrate sound judgment in relation to those standards. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting. Oversee daily cash management, cash forecasting and investment optimization, approve payables, execute check signing. Hire, coach and develop financial team members to support the needs of a growing business. Coordinate proper filing of all compliance reporting for corporate federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, and business property tax returns. Administrate financial benefits (401(k) plan and all other financial related benefits) Manage the company’s ERP System.
