Daily Duties at Hospice Of The North Shore And Greater Boston:
Traveled to patients' homes, working on a caseload of up to 15 clients within various stages of terminal illness. Interdisciplinary team member working with Doctors, Nurses, Home Health Aides, Social Workers and Chaplains in providing the highest quality of care and support for patients and their families. Worked with caregivers and family members in treatment, education, proper medication disbursement, and dealing with medical, physical and emotional issues. Gained valuable experience and strengthened holistic management of patients' care to increase quality of life and reduce pain as opposed to treatment to cure. Took daily assessments, documenting vital signs, changes in condition and any new/continuing symptoms.
