Administer medications, mental and physical assessment of patients, develop individualized treatment plans for each patient and presenting them to patients in weekly meeting, work with doctors, social workers, music and occupational therapists and nursing assistants to provide interdisciplinary care, develop and lead nursing groups, delegation of nursing assistants and other nurses in the charge nurse role, implement trauma-informed care strategies with high risk patients, use non-restraint de-esalation techniques and safe restraint techniques when necessary to maintain safety to patient and others on unit, non-computer documentation with use of DAR-type progress notes, use of most basic nursing skills except for IV placement.
