Daily Duties at United States Customs Service:
Performs as Pilot-in-Command of a high performance fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft, which has complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and sensor systems. Flies on covert missions, high speed interceptions and in pursuit of other aircraft which have been identified as suspected violators of Customs and/or related laws. Flies under adverse conditions (unfavorable terrain, at night under instrument conditions, during instrument conditions and in close proximity to other aircraft). Collects air smuggling intelligence, conducts surveillances, searches of aircraft, vehicles and suspects, makes arrests and seizures.
