Daily Duties at State Of California:

As an Agricultural Inspector for the State of California, I inspected vehicles and trucks entering California for all agricultural commodities in accordance with the procedures governing the state agricultural industry. My duties included testing agricultural material and ensuring compliance with the standards relating to agricultural products and health and safety. I was responsible for testing commodities for quality and compliance in accordance with the State of California regulations for agricultural products. Trucks with agricultural commodities or animals were checked for appropriate documentation to ensure shipments were properly documented before entering the state. As an Agricultural Inspector I enforced fruit and vegetable quality control for counties within the State of California and also compliance for the Department of Fish and Game.
