Actively recruited by Goodyear to restructure and turnaround its global indirect purchasing efforts that directly impacts 39% of its total spend (Indirect is over $4.0B); reports to the Vice President & CPO; in charge of HQ staff of 34 and decentralized world-wide staff of 160 located in 21 manufacturing sites and 3 regional headquarters; developed short and long term organizational and strategic sourcing strategies covering such purchase families as Transportation (logistics – Ocean freight, LTL, Small Parcel, Travel – Corp jets, rental cars, airlines, fleet & travel card), IT (H/W & S/W), MRO, HR (Temp labor, health, life insurance), Marketing/Communications (Media buy, tradeshows, branding, Corp. Sponsorship, publications, etc.), Consulting / Professional Services (Management Services, Financial Services, Engineering Services, Tax, Audit, Compliance) & Capital Equipment and through the development & execution of organizational transformation, deployment of leading edge outsourcing activities and methodologies along with the creation and execution of an enterprise-wide governance structure and standardization of processes & procedures; delivered $134M in FY05 and created an operating plan that delivered $150M in FY06
