Daily Duties at St George Hospital:
I assessed all patient’s recreational and psychosocial needs and developed and implemented a daily group therapy program for the patients on an Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. I conducted medication/mental health education groups for patients and families and worked within a multidisciplinary team to communicate patient's progress. I charted patients notes, and gave feedback in ward rounds. I organized hospital wide fundraisers. I controled spending for acquiring resources and maintain records of all program expenses. I purchased equipment within the budget and maintained it in good condition. I acquired, trained and supervised volunteers. I organized community outings for patients and liased with community organzations to promote patient's reintegration to the community after hospitalization.
