Daily Duties at Ingham County Health Department:
Produced fact sheets, newsletters, and brochures on environmental public health issues. Reviewed and interpreted environmental samples to determine risks. Consulted with other Federal, state and local governmental agencies, businesses, and industry on matters relating to toxicology. Served as toxicological resource person for County residents and staff. Consulted with staff, private citizens, business, and other governmental units on the environmental/human health effects from the exposure/handling/disposal of hazardous chemicals. Developed and implemented policy related to the management of State and Federal recognized hazardous waste sites. Conducted environmental inspections/monitoring. Developed grant proposals.
