Daily Duties at Ingham County Health Department:

Produced fact sheets, newsletters, and brochures on environmental public health issues. Reviewed and interpreted environmental samples to determine risks. Consulted with other Federal, state and local governmental agencies, businesses, and industry on matters relating to toxicology. Served as toxicological resource person for County residents and staff. Consulted with staff, private citizens, business, and other governmental units on the environmental/human health effects from the exposure/handling/disposal of hazardous chemicals. Developed and implemented policy related to the management of State and Federal recognized hazardous waste sites. Conducted environmental inspections/monitoring. Developed grant proposals.
