Daily Duties at Air Force Research Laboratory Materials And Manufacturing Directorate:
Conceives, plans, organizes and conducts theoretical and experimental in-house research programs Manages/directs contratual research and exploratory develpment programs with the purpose of improving optical thin films and to develop techniques needed ot fabricate and characterize them for Air Force applications Guides optical thin film research to meet the Air Force requirements and objectives, clearly defining goals, experimental procedures to be used and material equipment and supporting manpower requirements Interprets and analyzes resulting data in light of current theories Responsible for dissimination of tehchnical results in appropriate Air Force Technical Reports as well as through publication in the literature and presentation to DoD working groups and technical societies as appropriate to insure maximum application of advances Develops or conducts in-house research and exploratory develpment efforts using established laboratory techniques Applies originality in modifying techniques involving chemical/physical property characterization.
