Daily Duties at Mcagcc:

•Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, and first-aid supplies. •Investigate the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, and other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance. •Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations. •Develope and maintained hygiene programs such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, and asbestos management plans. •Investigate accidents to identify causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future. •Coordinate "right-to-know" programs regarding hazardous chemicals and other substances. •Develope and maintained medical monitoring programs for employees. •Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials. •Maintain and update emergency response plans and procedures. •Investigate health-related complaints, and inspected facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations. •Develope and implement safety program to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions, and industrial health and safety laws. •Examine plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included. •Determine amount of weight that can be safely loaded on tactical vehicles during tactical and vehicle operations. •Tour all work locations to inspect fire and safety equipment, vehicles, to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. •Determine requirements for safety clothing and equipment to be worn when operating tactical vehicles during field environment and in garrison. •Conduct and coordinate safety and first aid training to educate Marines and sailors about safety policies, and practices. •Conduct employee training sessions to include hazardous material handling, employee orientation, quality improvement and computer use to facilitate maneuvering within the Environmental Learning Management System (ELMS) website. •Implement schedule and policy changes and collaborated with other managers and staff to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. •Inspect waste pretreatment, treatment, and disposal facilities and systems for conformance to federal, state, or local regulations. •Perform quality assurance oversight of the installation’s environmental programs via the Commanding Generals Inspection Program (CGIP) and Environmental Compliance Evaluation (ECE) by assessing those environmental practices identified in the installation’s environmental practice inventory, based on established standards and regulatory requirements. •Maintain liaison with each activity Environmental Compliance Coordinator, environmental practice owner, and environmental media specialist aboard the installation to validate unit level training, documentation, and to ensure compliance inspections were being conducted in a manner that promoted continued compliance with appropriate federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and directives. •Provide administrative and technical support for non-routine work assignments to include development of environmental programs (e.g., Environmental Management System [EMS], Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program [CETEP], Environmental Standard Operating Procedures [ESOPs], National Environmental Policy Act [NEPA], Publications and Bulletins), training resources (e.g., Rapid Learning Objects [RLOs] and Posters), compliance reporting (e.g., ACE online, PRISM), and future planning (e.g., Plan of Action and Milestones [POA&Ms], objectives, and targets). •Inspect activities and commands to ensure compliance with recognized standards (laws, regulations, and policies) associated with the management of: hazardous materials, hazardous wastes, underground and above ground storage tanks, storm water, recycled water, potable water, air quality, air emissions, biological waste, solid waste, range residue, and recyclables. •Manage the preparation of all functional areas that were inspected during the Commanding General’s Inspection Program (CGIP)/Logistics Readiness Inspection (LRI) resulting in an unprecedented 98% overall grade.
