In 2009, a lead programmer with the firm, who designed and built the Encounter Management System, died suddenly—leaving a range of advanced development responsibilities behind and creating the need for promotion to Lead Programmer. After working “on the job” to sharpen EMS skills to the same level as its designer, now perform full spectrum maintenance and improvement routines, ensuring system remains as cutting edge as the day it was finalized. Continue to execute regular duties as a Software Developer III focusing on software for encounter conversion, applications to convert data packages from doctors and hospitals to the format used by HMOs.
