Daily Duties at Davao Sanitarium And Hospital:

● Responsible for all ER admissions and consultations on a 24 duty service, identifying patients who require immediate care ● Perform patient history and physical examinations, interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, and interpret and correlate subjective and objective data. ● Formulate working diagnoses and develop a treatment plan for cardiac conditions within the scope of practice of a physician and in conjunction with the primary provider. ● Participate in scheduled meetings to review and evaluate the care provided to patients, identify opportunities to improve the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when problems exist. ● Conduct hospital rounds of patients including intensive care units, as requested. ● Write orders, progress notes, and perform admission history and physicals within scope of practice. ● Order laboratory and radiographic tests and perform appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies as requested by the supervising physician. ● Evaluate and clarify clinical conditions, formulate and implement treatment and therapeutic plans for hospitalized patients, perform or ensure that appropriate discharge planning occurs, dictate discharge summaries. ● In the ambulatory environment, see office patients and complete a thorough history and physical examination that is problem oriented for surgical conditions. Present the patient to the attending surgeon. ● Assist the attending surgeon to formulate a treatment plan, order appropriate studies and perform office procedures. ● Follow up with patients who require a same-day office visit. Return patient phone calls and ensure appropriate follow through, as required. ● Handle prescription refills. ● Review reports for abnormalities to identify test results that require the attending physician to contact the patient. Report normal results to the patient
