Daily Duties at Sungard:

-Record/journalize, reconcile and analyze monthly activity for the balance sheet and income statement accounts, including various related ad hoc analyses. -Perform all aspects of the month end close duties which include preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules for the Financial Statement. -Maintain the Fixed Asset Register. -Record inter-company multi-currency transactions, which include timely settlements based on the close. -Produce audit schedules upon request and work closely with the auditors to complete the audit on time. -Mentor 2 staff accountants and assist the accounting manager with other supervisory duties to ensure the accurate and timely completion of the financial statements. -Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley financial reporting requirements (including maintenance of policies and procedures). -Work with senior mgt/finance team on various accounting and finance related projects. -Mentor, develop and assist staff accountants with the successful completion of job duties and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as necessary. -Consistently monitor, recommend and implement improvements to the current methodologies and practices within the Corporate Accounting functions.
