Daily Duties at Aig:
Promoted to Director position to head coordination and consolidation efforts for GAAP financial reporting for US Property Casualty division—identifying, documenting, and communicating risks to senior management. Supervise preparation of quarterly Accounting Memo highlighting significant non-standard financial transactions, changes of estimates, corrections of transaction errors disclosed to senior management and internal/external auditors. Manage ongoing SOX and NAIC Model Audit Rule compliance programs for all financial accounting and reporting control processes. Administer the Business Continuity Plan and provide impact analysis for AIG Property Casualty Controllers Group. Oversee “Out of Period” transaction processes for GAAP (SAB 99) and Statutory (SSAP 3) reporting, including legal entity analytics, processing of related statutory (SSAP 3) journal entries, and preparation of statutory (SSAP3) footnote schedules.
