Daily Duties at One Blood, Inc.:

Relationship management across all departments for 22 hospitals in 7 counties. Monitored service area for new hospitals coming on line and critical news pertaining to hospitals served by competing organization. Participated in organizations and business groups, and attended various meetings. This provided opportunity to foster key business and community relationships and identify potential donor development opportunities, promote brand awareness for Florida's Blood Centers/OneBlood, and meet life science/biotech company contacts for new business opportunities, including provision of products for research and involvement in clinical research protocols. Served as liaison to the life science/biotech community in South Florida and the Treasure Coast. Maintained oversight of contracts for hospitals, including major corporate supply chain relationship, branch facilities in my service area. Identified, contacted (after CEO approval)and arranged meetings with potential board members, which the CEO and I attended to build board participation in this region. Responded to physician requests for product information and blood center procedures, and worked with patient services and branch staffs to accommodate special requirements for their patient transfusions. Planned and hosted educational events for hospital groups, including technical advisory group meetings, teleconferences, and webinars; facilitated educational seminars for hospital physician groups; prepared and delivered presentations and lectures to hospital and community groups. Served as liaison for reference laboratory services and clients including new business, contract oversight, and resolution of issues spanning all departments. Was the corporate risk management team representative for our South Florida facilities. Maintained corporate contacts database for all 70+ hospitals served (using Excel/SharePoint). Served as contact for credentialing of clinical personnel in South Florida. Organized system-wide hospital appreciation under single vendor for National Lab Week and December holiday season. Provided oversight of various scholarships programs for participating high schools and colleges. Organized various events/meetings in South Florida for CEO, board members and executive staff.
