Manged a team of three employees Oversee accounts payable, and cash handling process and associates Partnering with department managers to perform financial statement review and period close process including GL review, posting journal entries for accrual and reclass Train other departments on tax and invoice handling Implement purchasing card, cash handling procedures Train new managers on Marriott financial software and SOP’s Perform periodic Balance Sheet reconciliation and perform quarterly SOX certification Perform and oversee 50 types of hotel wide internal control audits over financial and operational areas Handle license and permits process with the District of Columbia government Contract compliance liaison for hotel with vendors and suppliers Audit DC tax regulation compliance on sales and use tax
