Daily Duties at Rent Way:
Hired as a database programmer. On my second day at work, the company announced its sale to Rent-A-Center, Inc., so all programming projects were canceled. Because of Securities and Exchange restrictions, company officials could not tell me of the impending sale. During the subsequent months of employment, I engaged in a self-directed course of study on data warehousing concepts, as well as Structured Query Language (SQL) operations on AS-400 platforms and using Microsoft SQL Server. Also began to use the Linux Operating System extensively.
