Daily Duties at Los Angeles Southwest College:

Brought on board to leverage broad competencies in operations, relationship-building and product development to implement strategic planning initiatives. Planned, scheduled and managed the activities for the Business Office, including the collection of large sums of cash, A/R, A/P, Payroll, Specially Funded programs, Associated Student Organization and Trusts accounts. Managed professional, supervisory and clerical accounting staff engaged in the maintenance of financial records, preparation of statements and reports, reconciliations and application of accounting controls. Provided accounting reports, including the miscellaneous cash report, revolving fund, monthly and annual financial statements and change in fund balance. Provide managerial accounting and special reporting to program managers utilizing SAP, BW and Protocol as well as Windows 7, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Prepare monthly and annual forecasting financial statements, prepare adjusting, correcting journal entries and invoicing and provide reconciliation of revenues and expenditures. Collaborate with Districts program accountants and funding sources to administer program objectives.
