Daily Duties at Los Angeles Southwest College:
SFP Accountant- Progressive record of positions with increasing responsibility based on strong performance in process optimization, productivity improvement and quality management. Accountable for the control of multiple specially funded programs (SFPs) and grants in excess of $4M. Hand-selected to assist the Dean of Workforce Development and Corporate Relations in the strategic planning and implementation of the Workforce Development and Corporate Relations divisions’ goals. Establish and maintain accounting controls for equipment and audits. Provide managerial accounting and special reporting to program managers utilizing SAP, BW and Protocol as well as Windows 7, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Prepare monthly and annual forecasting financial statements, prepare adjusting, correcting journal entries and invoicing and provide reconciliation of revenues and expenditures. Collaborate with Districts program accountants and funding sources to administer program objectives.
