Daily Duties at International Security Assistance Force/Nato:

I was a "by-name"/select hire for this director position by the Air Force agency controlling combat positions. There are approximately 100 electronic warfare officers at any given time in the entire Air Force that are qualified to fill this position. It is a prestigious position and represents the pinnacle of an electronic warfare officer's career. As Chief, I was responsible for the day-to-day execution of electronic combat in Afghanistan. It was my staff's responsibility to plan and execute electronic attack options from aircraft, coordinate air-to-ground operations, deconflict ground from airborne electronic warfare system, coordinate with Intelligence Surveillence and Reconaissance aircraft. I had the right and power to move any electronic warfare asset real time to support combat operations. The CEO & COO required an executive level organization to conduct, operate and execute Air Force Top Secret Classified Programs. I built an executive level enterprise that executed planning, programming, budget documents and requirement for all stages of the acquisition process. I was tasked to provide leadership to organization and project managers in implementing complex, difficult enterprise-wide programs. I provided strategic change management guidance and content specific business thought leadership to C-suite executives on a weekly basis. The Division collaborated with C-Suite and senior executives, management, multi and cross-functional teams, sister services and to address issues impacting the performance of the acquisition initiatives and mission operations. I provided risk management briefings to C-level executives identifying requirements, budgetary shortfalls, technology mitigation and transition issues, and project/program status during various phases of the acquisition process. The results of my efforts were a fully functional executive level organization in eighteen months. A current, active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required for this position. Responsible for strategic planning, development, operations, and administration EW personnel assigned to the EWCC. Restructured operations, analyzed existing methods, and developed new programs and procedures to re-direct operations. Developed and implemented policy and procedure manuals, updating old material into comprehensive instructional manuals, clarifying areas of responsibilities between ground and airborne EA operations. Subject Matter Expert for Non-Kinetic Operations. Because of my superior work, I received three high level decoration for my work during my six months, two of which were for singular achievement.
