From February 1996 thru June 1998: Site Manager for MDPR Office & NG/DSSD Office, Senior Integration Manager, Senior Sys Architect. Designed, created, & managed a facility for the Government’s MDPR Office and an NG/DSSD Office. As the Sr. Integration Manager, was responsible for all integration efforts, and the Day-to-Day Manager of 75 technical personnel from 6 different companies working from disparate geographic locations (from California to New England) to operate and maintain the Clinical Integrated Workstation (CIW) (one of the first electronic medical records management systems) which was deployed in several locations. There were no inter-company contractual relationships to enable this Integration/Management effort; just the contracts each company had with the MDPR office for their parts of the project. Primary project was to perform the migration of 148 DoD legacy and proprietary health and medical informatics systems to an open-based target computing architecture. Responsible for (1) the maintenance, operation, and continual improvement of CIW (in operation within Scott AFB Hospital); Design, development, & deployment of CBC (Clinical Browser Components) a Web-based version of CIW; and for Design and delivery of Desert Care, a portable & deployable version of CBC. From July thru September 1998: Manager, Special Y2K Assignment at the Executive Office of the President of the United States (EOP). Working for Northrop Grumman Data Systems & Services, called in to resuscitate a struggling program by executing a complete Y2K assessment of all the EOP Office of Automation IT Systems in 3 short months, something the program failed to deliver over the previous 18 months. An exceptionally accurate and complete assessment report was delivered ahead of the revised schedule and under the revised budget. Everyone involved was extremely happy at our ability to accomplish this non-trivial assessment in so short a time.
