Daily Duties at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital:

-Conducted a staff development workshop to provide feedback regarding the performance improvement data or about some aspect of a total quality improvement program. -Developed and administered a survey for obtaining information on clinical indicators. -Obtained technical information and developed purchase specifications for imaging equipment (CEEP). -Provided educational workshop to other health care professionals related to bone health and bone densitometry. -Serves as Radiography, Bone Densitometry and Mammography technologist -Assists with QA in Mammo. -Performs all Bone Densitometry QA, QC and patient exams. -Performs routine to very difficult radiographic examinations of well and diseased breasts to include film screen and digital mammography, as well as mammogram guided needle biopsy procedures. -Maintains strict adherence to mammography guidelines to ensure the integrity and consistency of mammographic studies. -Performs a wide variety of complex examinations of human subjects to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury. -Serves as the quality assurance evalator for Bone Densitometry. -Utilizes critical thinking skills and analysis making recommendations to the Chief on how to improve the process for bone densitometry. -Represents the department chief on all matters not requiring clinical judgment, and occasionally represent the chief at committee meetings as necessary. -Attends all committees pertinent to the administration of the DXA. -Manages DXA according to established policies and procedures within the hospital and Medical Command.
