Daily Duties at Mid Iowa Community Action Mica:
As Director of Family Development I oversaw all aspects of Fam. Dev. programs including: Head Start and Early Head Start in-home services and enrollment(5 counties) food pantries(3 counties,) Low Income home energy assistance(5 counties), Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing (5 counties), the Fatherhood initiative(3 Counties), Job coaching (3 counties), Financial fitness (5 counties). I prepared all reports for funders on program performance. I supervised the budgets and spending and established program goals. I created procedures and policy while developing new programs. I provided monthly training opportunities to staff and trained and presented both locally and at a state and national level. I served on the leadership team and helped create the agency’s strategic plan. I developed partnerships with various community partners and work as a team with other agencies to meet the needs within the communities we served.
