Daily Duties at Cigna Health Care:
Responsible for new business development within the broker distribution channel in the Orlando market. Managed overall business relationships and sales activities for 100+ agents within a specified territory (4 counties). Recruit and develop new agents. Facilitate the contracting process. Provide product and sales training for both new and existing CIGNA agents. Hold and conduct weekly meetings with assigned agents; review membership sales reports, and relevant product and process updates. Served as the primary point of contact for escalations and member service questions related to benefits, underwriting, billing, claims and complex problem resolution. Provide needs assessments to insure that the agent/agency are receiving proper support. Identify and develop strategic relationships with key business partners. Partner with brokers to assist with sales and marketing efforts (attend local events as needed). Utilized SalesForce to monitor and log sales activities, and review various production and retention reports. Participated in weekly, monthly and quarterly sales calls. Collaborated with management and counterparts to report on consumer insights and new market trends. Provided competitive date analysis and sales forecasts. Contributed to product and process development. Worked closely with various internal departments including billing, member services, underwriting and claims to provide a high level of service and support to both brokers (agents) and members. Attended local and national professional association events.
