Daily Duties at Freddie Mac:
1. Lead a cross functional team to achieve project objectives and customer requirements. 2. Manage the seamless integration of complex infrastructure (storage, network, server, data center) implementations throughout the lifecycle of a project. 3. Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks and issues, impact on systems, and dependencies to other IT Business Units within the company. 4. Support the management and planning of all efforts associated with the project including: development and management of work plans, define and deliver individual project deliverables as a part of the overall program deliverables, manage the expectations of all stakeholders, organize and address emerging project requirements, manage project relationships and integrations, manage more than one project team in delivery of commitments. 5. Develop and manage a set scope of work within the project to be delivered through effective expectations setting, communications, change management control, budget control and management, and overall business understanding of the project needs. Actively support the project management team's efforts, to include: project plan, scope management, budget management, resource management, time management (activities, scheduling and task planning), communications, risk, procurement, testing, user training, program / project delivery, transition, maintenance and support management. 6. Report project progress, issues, and risks through weekly status reports. 7. Communicate effectively in both verbal (e.g. day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written (status reports, change requests) form, as well as have an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications. 8. Effectively communicate key messages for projects by understanding communication requirements of key stakeholders, providing outcome-based, crisp and actionable communication, escalating critical issues and risks promptly, regular communication to customers on accomplishments, initiatives (scope, schedule & budget), application support, risk management, key next steps and clear owners of key next steps. 9. Accurately assess the risks/issues associated with each project and systematically manage and report on project risks/issues. 10. Ensure that the solutions meet all infrastructure requirements such as information security, performance, maintainability, scalability, and extensibility. 11. Ensure that sound practices are taking place. Replace previous processes with newer ones where feasible, and provide feedback for efficiencies. 12. Managed Infrastructure Projects, such as Hardware, Software and Network Upgrades following Agile and SDLC methodologies. 13. Performed scheduling and resource assignments and determined project budgets. 14. Developed Business Cases including coordinating performing alternative analyses for suitable replacement products. 15. Determined scope, goals, milestones and the applicable deliverables required. 16. Performed PMO functions such as maintaining weekly status reports and metrics for a portfolio of 23 projects.
