Daily Duties at Oregon Department Of Environmental Quality:

Direct DEQ’s diversity management and cultural competence programs through the recruiting and retention of employees from diverse cultural backgrounds while providing human resources support for the agency's land, air and water programs and managing DEQ's ADA compliance efforts. -Manage interactions with candidates and new employees; explain benefits/leaves; answer inquiries. -Develop statewide and agency policies/procedures; write various staffing letters. -Coach and counsel administrators and managers on employment and labor law. -Maintain confidentiality of employee medical files in ADA/ADAAA processes.
