Daily Duties at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc.:

I assist the Hospital Director of Risk Management and Insurance, and Patient Safety Officer in all general and professional liability claims activity against the hospital and its employees. I evaluate, negotiate and settle malpractice and general liability claims from inception to disposition. I manage defense counsel on litigated claims. I attend Arbitrations, Mediations and trials as needed and submit patient safety recommendations to departments regarding safety hazards issues as a result of the claims outcome. Evaluate & review peer review findings and hospital policies /procedures as related to the claim. I also work very closely with the Manager of the Workers' Compensation as needed.
