-Led the company’s Privacy program, which governs responsible use of personally identifiable information (personal data) and compliance with privacy and personal data protection laws worldwide, including EU Data Protection Directive, HIPAA, Privacy Act of 1974 and state breach disclosure laws. -Advised, directed and collaborated with Legal, HR, IT and business on compliance with privacy/data protection, compliance and information security requirements globally. -Developed enterprise data privacy, information security, risk and compliance policies, standards and procedures -Reviewed/analyzed regulatory changes globally for impact to company policies, processes and procedures, recommended and ensured regulatory and statutory compliance and informed appropriate groups of the pending changes. -Promoted information security/data privacy awareness, compliance training worldwide and data governance to integrate data protection compliance within the culture of the organization. Implemented Information Security/Data Privacy Fundamentals training globally, monthly newsletters, surveys, Executive Forum with industry leaders as guest speakers as part of Security Awareness activities. -Developed and implemented a strategic vision and plan for the privacy program in accordance with best practices. -Developed and collaborated with various groups to implement global policies for Information Protection, Mobile Devices, Incident Reporting, Computer Security Incident Reporting as well as Data Privacy Plan documents, Data Protection Agreements for Supplier contracts and Privacy Standards documents. -Provided advice and direction to legal, HR and IT for compliance with privacy requirements globally. -Developed and implemented checklist for Information Security reviews, Data Privacy, Business Continuity Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan and questionnaire for SaaS initial vendor assessments and process flow documents. -Documented all PII data flows and PHI related HR data flows and interfaces to meet HIPAA/HITECH compliance. -Member of the Enterprise Architecture team for all new systems, upgrades, change reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations. -Reviewed Service Provider contracts and SAS70/SSAE16 reports, new systems and process implementations, SOX and Privacy controls testing and audits for compliance using a GRC tool. -Worked with Corporate Risk Management for the organization's Cyber Security Insurance implementation. -Member of project implementation team for Workday, Kronos and ADP SaaS solutions. -IT liaison for Work Councils and internal Legal Group on policies and project initiatives. -Led the Identity Management team. Created vision, scope and roadmap and implemented authentication software as a standard, including project schedule, hardware projections, change management and acquisition. Direct reports: 7 -Worked closed with Global Audit on security compliance risks and recommended appropriate mitigating controls on audit findings.
