Assisted in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains policies and procedures manual; participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Maintained Affirmative Action Plan; files EE0-1 report and Vets 100 report annually. Conducted the employment process of recruitment, selection, and placement of exempt and non-exempt positions; interns and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations; writes and places advertisements. Consulted with hiring manager about recruitment process and skills and background needed for positions. Conducted exit interviews for terminating exempt staff. Coordinated communication to all candidates interviewed as to status of application. Provided report generation on cost per hire information, applicant tracking, and turnover analysis. Provided salary histories and comparable market data to senior directors to aid in the salary increase recommendation process. Created and maintained the HRD drive for all HR forms, documents, spreadsheets and correspondence. As the lead on all benefit claims issues, earned trust and respect of volume of employees who contacted me to resolve issues with benefits administrators. Completed designated salary surveys for external vendors. Coordinated development and maintenance of staff job descriptions. Generated various reports as needed for management’s overview, internal control, and federal agencies. Reviewed and update policy and procedures manual on a yearly base to ensure compliance with current legal guidelines. Complied EEO statistics for quarterly reporting. Co-supervised HR Assistant.
