Daily Duties at Health Management Associates:
Duties include advising physicians on drug usage, coordinating pharmacy technician’s duties, and making sure all dispensed drugs are recorded and delivered in accordance with local, state and federal laws or regulations. I worked along side nurses, and physicians on days spent on the floor, as I entered orders. Communicating with physicians, nurses and dieticians were done on a daily basis as I worked on pharmaco-kinetics , TPN, and Coumadin dosing. I have been directly involved in patient care, which also included going on rounds with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and dieticians. My duties involved suggesting drug therapy and monitoring patient response.
