• Reported directly to the Head of Internal Audit, Americas. • Conducted financial, operational and compliance audits of the Broker-Dealer subsidiary, products included domestic/foreign equities and bonds, audits included Regulatory (Focus) reporting. Evaluated existing internal policies and procedures and operations and recommend changes as necessary to be in compliance with regulatory rules and regulations as promulgated by the SEC, FINRA and the firm’s internal procedures. • Conducted financial, operational and compliance audits of the following functions of the Investment Bank Derivative Products (Futures, Options, Future-Options, Interest Rate/Currency Swaps, Caps, Collars, Floors), Trading Activities (Foreign Exchange Contracts, Investments and Money Market), International Lending, Commercial Lending (Syndications, Participations, and Asset-Based), Trade Finance (Letters of Credit), FRB Borrower-in Custody Program, Funds Transfer. Evaluated existing policies and procedures and operations and recommended changes necessary to be in compliance with rules and regulations as promulgated by the FRB and the firm’s internal policies and procedures/guidelines. • Conducted reviews to determine compliance to Law 262 (Italian Sarbanes-Oxley equivalent). • Conducted US Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer compliance reviews for the Investment Bank and broker-dealer subsidiary. • Prepared formal written audit reports to effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and executive management. (Downsized due to the state of the European economy).
