Daily Duties at Met Life:

• I am a Senior IT Leader responsible for managing multi-million dollar organization-level portfolios. These portfolios fund multiple concurrent Software Development Projects. Throughout my career at MetLife, I have supported several Line of Business Organizations o Business Organization Management Business Unit, o Global Planning & Effectiveness Organization, o Broker Operations Organization, o Disability Product Business Unit, o Specialized Benefits Resources Product Business Unit • Director-Level Relationship Manager charged with partnering directly with IT, Business, PMO, and Production Management senior leadership regarding all aspects of Tactical and Strategic Planning and Budgeting. • Lead all phases of Software Development projects from Inception through Deployment. This requires managing multiple concurrent releases with complex project schedules and contention for lower environments. Work directly with my PMO partners to ensure my projects adhere to the PMO SDLC processes and procedures and are approved and signed off. Cultivate strong relationships with our IT partner groups and IT support groups ensuring successful deployments that involve external system dependencies. • Manage a team averaging 25+ IT resources consisting of FTEs, onsite consultants, and offshore consultants supporting the Project Lead, Senior Business System Analyst, Developer, and QA roles. Establish clear roles and responsibilities for all team members. Develop mentoring and coaching relationships with my team members to promote professional growth towards their career goals. • Own all HR responsibilities for full time employees (average 5 - 8), which includes defining goals & objectives, career development plans, performance reviews, developing mentor relationships, salary action plans, bonus plans, and promotions. Responsible for all consultants SOW, PO, and Invoice administration and processing. • Partner with business management teams to formulate and continuous improve upon standardized Release Planning Processes that directly align with the priorities of the corporate business strategies. Leveraging this process, effectively prioritize and manage the intake of work requests from demanding business customers. Ensure clear expectations are set and agreed upon with clients to ensure positive relationship is maintained. Develop, implement, and continuously improve estimation tools to ensure consistent and methodical estimation of all work requests. • Lead joint requirement sessions with business and IT partners to develop high and low level solutions that align with the strategic direction of the business. Develop implementation strategies based on agreed solutions. • Lead functional and technical analytical efforts to develop and design optimal software solutions that solve complex business requirements in a fast paced environment (hands-on skill set). This includes ensuring all solutions, large or small in scope, are properly documented into our BRD, FRD, and TDD documentation standards. • Coordinate with the Enterprise Infrastructure and Architecture (EI&A) organization the on-going infrastructure changes and upgrades for all of the environments (Dev through Prod) that support my Software Suite. This relationship model also includes engaging the EI&A Organization for the procurement of new hardware when necessary. • Continuously partner with the IT Quality Assurance Leadership Team to establish and maintain a standardized set of Regression Testing Requirements and supporting testing scripts for all modules of the Software Solutions. Manage the incorporation of new requirements from ongoing releases into the Regression Test Model.
