Daily Duties at Burroughs & Chapin:
I prepared all Court documents relating to eviction proceedings when tenants/lessors did not pay rent. I filed all Notice of Claims for the Company when tenants filed bankruptcy. B&C developed and owned several residential developments as well as resorts. I organized and managed all matters relating to lawsuits involving construction defects and/or mold issues that occurred at these developments. I worked with outside counsel to pull together documents from the various departments within the company in response to discovery requests. I would organize same and draft responses to Interrogatories and Requests for Production of Documents. I prepared witness files and binders of key documents for each department involved in a particular lawsuit. I worked with outside counsel to prepare employees and experts for depositions. I reviewed and approve all monthly statements from outside counsel relating to litigation matters. I prepared applications and renewals of trademarks, organized and maintained individual files regarding same. I organized and maintained Corporate records for all B&C entities, prepare Articles of Incorporation for new entities and applied for Tax ID numbers for new entities.
