Daily Duties at C Solutions:
My area of expertise in Marketing, Strategic Planning, Business Development and Sales. I have had significant projects at many companies in each or all of these areas. I am both highly experienced and an expert in these areas.My job at C-Solutons was to be the resident expert in Marketing, Strategic Planning and Business Development. Our clients were mid-szied companied ($5-$500 million) whose product line and/or personnel were stale and in need of revitalization. On initial meetings with the client, I would first ask them what they were hoping to accomplish. I would review all past actions, and usually find that their limited experience and expertise, as well as their closeness to their issues would hamper a a successful outcome to their situation. No one wants to hear that their business plan (if it even exists) is bad, or wrong people have wrong responsibilities, or that they need to sink more money into operations and marketing to improve their capabilities. I always deal with the owner(s) and/or CEO of the company. This is the person who hires me and truly wants to improve his/her company. After that first meeting with the owner/CEO I develop a complete scope of the project and the costs associated with that. Because I am so good at understanding their pain and what they ultimately want to accomplish, I have almost never failed at getting a complete consulting assignment that will be of maximum benefit to the client company and C-Solutions. The worst case is a contract that is consummated after each segment of the agreement. One a contract is secured, my first job is to do a thorough process audit of the company. I ask the CEO to arrange a meeting of the key managers in order to gain access to every department and to all the books to do assessment of where they are.After I am introduced by the CEO I explain who I and my firm are, who hired us, and what the goals of the engagement are. I do most of the talking to alleviate any friction from the CEO with his employees. I try to assure them that jobs are secure, that my presence is to stave off a downturn or layoffs, and together with their help, to develop an effective go-forward Business and Marketing Plan designed to increase revenue, eliminate waste and redundancies, and increase profits.
