Daily Duties at Qwest Communications:
Thoroughly tested Cisco WAN switches (BPX 86xx, MGX 82xx, and MGX 88xx) and their associated modules for functionality and adherence to published standards. Recommended hardware and software for deployment in Qwest’s nationwide ATM network. Tested for conformance, performance, install ability, and functionality when hardware/software upgrades were considered for the ATM and Frame Relay networks. Designed and modified test plans, improving network services and reliability. Documented all bugs found during testing and worked with vendor to resolve problems. Developed and improved automated test methods.
