Daily Duties at Eli Lillys:

... I was hired as a Journeyman HVAC/R Mechanic. I progressed into a job as a Maximo Scheduler and Planner along with Outside Vendor Management. • Worked as an HVAC/R Tech., Maximo Planner Scheduler and Contractor Supervisor in bldg. 130. Responsibilities included the maintenance of all HVAC/R systems including Metasys Controls, specialized environmentally controlled rooms and production areas. • Took a job in bldgs. 150/151 as a Contractor Supervisor/Maximo Planner and Scheduler. I was responsible for managing work for Tradesmen thru (CMMS) Maximo System. I was also responsible for supervising contractors, signing off on Change Controls and invoices. I also managed various projects from the start until the finish. • Took on an assignment, by request, as an HVAC/R Journeyman and Shop Supervisor at the Materials Center and new Standards Lab bldgs. 80/82. As a HVAC/R Journeyman, I maintained all Johnson Metasys Controls and corrected problems when they came up. I also maintained large walk-in freezers where millions of dollars of Insulin was stored. I took care of all HVAC/R related calls. I maintained all air handlers and steam systems. I insured water treatment was correct for chillers, boiler and hot water systems. I also maintained all compressed air systems. I was responsible for the start-up and maintenance of all HVAC/R Systems in the new Standards and Calibration Lab that served all of Lilly’s. The Standards Lab was very challenging project and we had to work thru many problems with humidity and temperature controls on start-up. I ran these projects with outside vendors/mechanics reporting progress and issues to engineering. Daimler Chrysler Corporation, 1999-2000… I was hired and worked as a Journeyman HVAC/R Technician. • Hired in the door as a HVAC/R Journeyman. I was responsible for all HVAC/R Equipment in a new Transmission Plant in Kokomo. Worked with laser welder coolant systems and cabinet coolers. Metasys maintenance was part of my responsibility. Raytheon/ Naval Avionics, 1997-1999… I was hired and worked as a Journeyman HVAC/R Technician. • Worked as an HVAC/R Journeyman in a 1.5 million square foot facility. Responsibilities included the maintenance of all HVAC/R systems. These included 1,000 ton centrifugal chillers, air compressors, rooftop units, towers, boilers, building automation systems, environmental chambers and freezers. Liposome Pharmaceuticals, 1996-1997… I was hired and worked as a Journeyman HVAC/R Technician. • Worked as an HVAC/R Mechanic. Responsibilities included the maintenance and start-up of all HVAC/R systems, ranging from 15 ton package units to 200 ton chillers, freezers, WFI/WFO skids, autoclaves, clean steam generators Edwards cascade systems, freeze dryers, air compressors and boilers. Responsibilities included the setting up of an S.O.P. Library for all new equipment and documenting start-up of new equipment. Responsible for all Metasys controls and specialized environmentally controlled rooms.
