Daily Duties at Us Air Force:

• Acting Branch Chief / Deputy Branch Chief in the absence of either • Exercise Planner, Readiness and Training Manager for the J7 Division in the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the USSTRATCOM Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction (SCC-WMD) • As the Exercise Planning Specialist I am responsible for DTRA/SCC-WMD compliance and integration of the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) four phased Joint TrainingSystem (JTS). I have facilitated in the development of DTRA/SCC-WMD’s Joint/Agency Mission Essential Task List (J/AMETL), and have designed, planned, coordinated and executed all four phases of the JTS for DTRA/SCC-WMD implementation. I have captured critical pieces of analysis of Agency readiness shortfalls and constructed a Directors Joint Training Guidance that outlines Agency JTS, implementation of a four year training and exercise plan. I am responsible for briefing senior DTRA/SCC-WMD leadership on the JTS to include DTRA/SCC-WMD’s progress. • As the Readiness and Training Specialist I facilitate identification of gaps and seams in capabilities thru analysis of Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) shortfalls and Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) Training and Exercise Assessments, and Agency High Interest Training Requirements. I am responsible for incorporating Agency capability gaps and shortfalls into the Directors Joint Training Guidance (DJTG). Plans new approaches to exercises, and designs ways to constantly challenge DTRA/SCC-WMD members to satisfy joint training goals while assuring that policies, regulations, directives, and doctrine are followed in support of the director's objectives. Writes Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) items based upon director's training intent, Joint/Agency Mission Essential Task List (J/AMETL), current US doctrine and emerging realistic C-WMD threats. During exercises, directs conduct of the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG), white cell and control exercise activities, to ensure players receive the maximum training benefit. Leads a team of 30 Observer Controllers responsible for training and direction for Tier 1 level exercises that support USSTRATCOM, USNORTHCOM, USPACOM and there component commands such as U.S. Army North (ARNORTH). Familiar with the Civil Support Training Activity (CSTA). Developed intense training objectives for DTRA/SCC-WMD teams and deployed those teams in support of COCOMs and JFCCs. Formulates, coordinates and publishes After Action Reports (AARs) for each joint training and exercise even to include recommended corrective actions and an office of primary responsibility (OPR) to lead corrective action • Briefs and Interfaces with senior-level officers/officials within the Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Geographic Combatant Commands (GCC), Joint Functional Component Commands (JFCC), subordinate Task Forces, DTRA/SCC-WMD and other Combat Support Agencies and service components • Ensures accuracy of transactional records and the reliability of records and reports prepared based upon information analyzed and consolidated • Responsible for the budgeting, procurement and funding processes related to inventory management functions for the Branch.
