Daily Duties at Humana:
Identify end to end functional or cross-functional claim processing inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements • Work with the Vice Presidents and Directors in Client Operations, Sales, Consulting, Professional Services, Customer Services, Operations & Product Development, Product Strategy, Legal, Process Innovation, and Custom Reporting to continually deliver client satisfaction with Humana’s products and services; • Designs, implements and directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis and pricing • Responsible for the planning and writing of system requirements for multiple claim processing systems(FIMMAS and Metevance) • Prepare and deliver Business Requirements, Change Controls, Test Cases, and final recommendations that address existing and potential trouble areas • Operational Leader in the development of Humana’s Specialty claims platform • Developed all Workplace Voluntary Benefits reporting requirements to manage quality and effectiveness post WVB migration • Establish project oversight (Steering Team) and identify key issues/risks and important decisions the Project Steering Team needs to make • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed product, process and system enhancements • Identify potential group set up risks and document known issues • Maintain Humana’s RFP Database and field RFP requests • Monitors the development of business plans, managing lifecycles and product positioning in the marketplace • Resolve issues during the installation and renewal processes • Work directly with regional contacts and functional departments to ensure installations are successful • Design, troubleshoot, and support the development, implementation, and launch of Humana’s new specialty claims management systems • Oversee Pre-Sale requests and provide guidance to case instillation • Undertakes financial analyses, long-range forecasting and analysis studies associated with potential alliances/partnerships(vendor management) • Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments. May have P&L responsibility • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems • Operational Leader in the architectural direction of core migration to Humana’s medical system • Develop training materials for sales on-boarding class • Serve as a strategic leader and "go to" person internally, and a key point of contact for customers, partners, and analysts. • Create Sold Case Installation checklists, time lines and communicate to the customer • Assist Underwriting in developing simplified STD/LTD product offerings to improve quoting efficiency • Establish project oversight and identify key issues/risks and important decisions the Project Steering Team needs to make • Collaborate with senior technical staff on architecture direction, ensuring that our technical investments anticipate and support our product needs • Developed Core STD/LTD employer/group level welcome communications • Developed Humana/LifeSynch Behavioral Health Process and/or Product • Developed Core STD / LTD client reporting on MTV (experience, tax and claims status reports) • Conduct semi-annual STD& LTD claim management audits of external claim vendors • Assist in the development of sold case system reporting to assist Small Group Account Instillation improve timeliness of group set up • Developed all member level communications for WVB Specialty claims platform
