Daily Duties at City Of Houston:

1998 to 2004 City of Houston, Houston, Texas Public Works & Engineering Department Division Manager, Materials Management Branch Responsible for functions relating to general administration, personnel labor issues, training, records management, computer LAN operations, and special projects which support the Section's/Division’s operational requirements. Budget tasks. Direct the operations of inventory control and administrative support section functions for the entire branch of 125 persons. Manage the Warehousing Section. 1995-1998 City of Houston, Houston, Texas Public Works & Engineering Department Deputy Fixed Asset Coordinator Managed all administrative, data entry and field survey functions in the Fixed Asset Management Section. A Deputy to the Fixed Asset Coordinator responsible for establishing goals, policies, procedures, guidelines and project work schedules related to the evolving areas of operation of this new operational group. The software was developed for the department by the vendor and I managed exhaustive trials, corrections and revisions to the network software package (UGCPR) prior to acceptance. 1993-1995 City of Houston, Houston, Texas Department of Health & Human Services Program Manager, Section Chief Managed the Hazardous Waste Section, an enforcement group that investigates and enforces violations of city ordinances, state laws, and federal laws relating to hazardous waste control, dumping, and transportation. Established and maintained a comprehensive computer database to track citizen complaints effectively and accurately. Maintain reporting relationship between the section and the various local, state and federal agencies. i.e. TNRCC, E.P.A. and others. Supervised eighteen (18) people from four different city departments.
