Daily Duties at United States Department Of State:

Part 1: I was initially hired as part of a select competitive group called the Presidential Management Fellows, a federal government management-recruiting program. I was promoted to the Director’s Office where I had senior management oversight over information flow, policy advocacy, message consistency, staff input and specific project management and creation and management of specialized new technology projects. Part 2: Policy, Advocacy and Implementation Helped develop and guide the implementation of US policy initiatives on critical Voice of America technical policy projects Developed and maintain relationships with important internal staff, executives, and external actors in relevant policy and programmatic domains, including in the public sector, private enterprise. Prepared, wrote, and edited a diverse range of documents, including issue briefs, reports, articles, memos and summaries; Served as close advisor to Director and help develop and manage organizational strategy, such as that related to organizational design and refinement of VOA’s technology outreach policy. Helped lead the development and refinement of VOA internal technology priorities Help lead the VOA front office, including working closely with the VOA Senior Management Team to develop strategic planning processes and facilitate communication and collaboration within VOA the US State Department.
