Daily Duties at Aetna:
Sr. Plan Coordinator Consultant (Client Liaison) September 2008 – present I absolutely loved this job! I am part of the new innovative Aetna integrated health system implementation. The Bank of America team is able to research several systems for medical information in order to process a disability leave if we have client consent. This has been a tremendous Aetna enhancement in order to approve disability claims in a more accurate and timely manner. I resolve problems with Bank of America associates along with internal co-workers. I am a go-to person for claims management as well as recognizing how internal systems work with connection to the client. I have mastered FMLA management, state leave and also short term disability claims. I work with our client to resolve escalated issues and extremely difficult situations. I audit claims for quality assurance. I work with upper management explaining process and researching leaves as necessary and offering advice for easier process. I have advanced business writing skills and communicate constantly with external and internal customers. Care Management Associate August 2006 – September 2008 I worked on the Boeing account from implementation. I verified eligibility of employees through Department of Labor guidelines and Federal Government regulations. I was responsible for approximately 350 leave cases prior to the recent transition. While my leave partner was on vacation, I was able to remain timely on my own task list and that of my Portland partner; and also keep my Plantation partner and her Portland partner timely with only about 4 hours overtime during that week. I remain above 98% timely at all time which is our client’s standard. I am known for my accuracy and attention to detail. I am a “go to” person for co-workers. I have worked in the Triage environment on numerous occasions. I am proficient with the Aetna Workability system and also am able to work with ATLS, the Aetna Short Term Disability system and also the Broadspire Worker’s Compensation system by retrieving necessary information to assist Boeing clients with leave management. I am a dedicated and dependable Aetna employee. I work independently. I have excellent customer service skills.
What they like about Aetna:
You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
