Daily Duties at Owens Corning India Ltd.:
As an Operations Engineer was responsible for Production planning, Maintenance Planning and operations planning. Performed Core Team member role during SAP implementation. SAP R/3 Production Planning Module: Used ASAP methodology during implementation of SAP. Discussions carried out with SAP consultants to freeze the AS-IS, TO-BE business process. Imparted SAP end user training to other end users. As an end user performed hands on work in areas of Demand Management, MRP and Production Orders, confirmations. Responsibilities carried out in Functional areas: Performed roles in areas of Production planning (PP), Maintenance Planning (PM) and Operations management. Maximized production runs and team efficiencies. Developed production plans that optimized output against customer service targets. Developed new engineering solutions for reducing manufacturing cost and machine downtime. As a maintenance planning engineer administered maintenance of production equipment, production area and co-ordination of manufacturing. Member of ERP evaluation team for freezing business processes. Worked as a team member for ISO 9001-2000 and was actively involved along with the Team during the Certification Process. Performed inventory management role for keeping optimum Inventory and Safety stock levels. Developed specifications for product change processes.
