Daily Duties at Ibm Global Business Services.:

As a team lead and Sr. SAP PP, IM/WM consultant; responsible for analysis, design, development, testing and configuration in areas of PP, IM/WM in SAP ECC6.  Implemented HU (Handling unit) functionality. Duration: Oct. 2008 till March 2009.  Upgrade of SAP ECC5 to ECC6. Duration: Oct: 2009 till Feb. 2010. Overall responsibilities:  Design, customize, test & deploy solutions towards client engagements to suit business requirement/s in areas of PP, PP-PI, IM/WM (including RF technology), Batch Management, Classification, ECM (Engineering change management) and Handling unit management (HU).  Perform configuration for new functionality requirements in areas of PP-PI, Batch management and ECM. PP-PI areas include - BOM, Resources, Recipes, SOP, Demand planning, MRP, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor control and sub contract manufacturing.  Perform configuration for new functionality requirements in areas of WM including RF technology - RF connectivity, configuring SU management, stock retrieval, RF for production confirmation, delivery creation, pick, pack, ship with RF end-to-end logistic flow from goods receipt to customer shipment including production activities.  Integrated interfacing between MES, LIMS and Discoverant to SAP for Shop floor activities. Integration is done by sending the Material Master, Process order information to shop floor (MES), purchase order information to LIMS & Discoverant and execution data from shop floor (MES) to SAP by IDOCs.  Write Functional Specification design for custom developments or RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements & Forms).  Develop detailed testing scripts, configuration rationale documentation and job aids as part of ongoing training and development efforts.  Issue tracking and solving on a daily basis to Central Planning, Distribution Centers and Manufacturing plants.  Define areas of opportunities and re-design needs for the implemented solution.  Utilize in-depth knowledge of functional background and in SAP ERP to deliver solutions to client.  Regularly discuss best practices with client to improve their SAP processes which lead to reaping faster benefits of SAP ERP.  Responsible for effective communication between client, project team and vice-versa. Provide day to day direction to the project team on new developments required by client and present updates to client.  Responsible for planning, tracking, change control aspects of the project.
