Daily Duties at Lexis Nexis:

Designed, coded, tested, debugged, documented and implemented new fabrication processes and improvements to manage, sort and link billions of records using proprietary ETL technology such as Enterprise Control Language (ECL) to develop on the High Performing Cluster Computing (HPCC) super computer platform. Also proficient with the following tools: Ab Initio Software used to design and develop mappings for transforming a wide variety of file types to a common model; Oracle SQL Developer 3.2.2; as well as Oracle Database 9i and 11g using SQL and PL/SQL in Windows NT/2000/XP and UNIX environments. Substantial development experience in creating stored procedures, PL/SQL Packages, Triggers and Functions. Strong knowledge in Oracle cursor management and exception handling. Extensive experience in query writing/tuning. Well versed in handling fabrication emergencies, escalating and achieving resolutions of those emergencies related to assigned content areas such as directory assistance, court records, DMV records, as well as other data for customers such as leading banks, insurance companies, various law enforcement agencies and the federal government. Responsible for the coordination of code reviews and mentoring junior level team members.
