Daily Duties at Abbott Diagnostics Intl., Ltd:
Lead day-to-day operations of IS Operations Dept. and staff. Oversee all aspects of department operations and deliver daily Computer Room, Help Desk and network operations. Manage and support 600+ Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 PCs, Windows Servers (2000/2003), VMware Vsphere servers, Minicomputers (HP Alpha); manage Active Directory, local network infrastructure and firewall, email, backup hardware/software and Disaster Planning and testing. Initiate project management and long range strategic planning and budgeting. Collaborate with divisional and corporate peers on project implementations, Service Level Agreements and problem escalation to achieve a successful resolution. Manage vendor contracts (support and maintenance) and SLA’s, both with local and external vendors. Support internal and external audits and implement recommendations when necessary.
