Daily Duties at Hologic:

Responsibilities as a Field Applications Specialist (FAS) primarily included the following: Site Assessments: Performed customer site assessments prior to customer training and implementation of new molecular assays. I reviewed workspace requirements, equipment setup, and environmental workspace requirements. Customer Training: Primary training for customers utilizing the molecular assays from Hologic. Additionally, onsite training included setup of assay equipment and training on routine maintenance of equipment. Technical Support / Troubleshooting: Primary technical support contact person within my designated territory. Technical support and troubleshooting focused on the following molecular assays: HPV, Cystic Fibrosis, UGT, and COAG. Customer Maintenance: Performed quarterly customer visits to assess molecular assay utilization, technical issues, and customer expertise with assays. Additionally, the position included Territory Support: Responsible for providing technical support to customers within Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, & North Carolina. Maintained quarterly records of customer contact, technical support, and training. Also technically supported customers within other territories as needed. Sales Assistance: Worked with Sales Reps within my territory during sales presentations. I provided technical expertise with potential clients, fielding questions about assay chemistry, workflow, equipment requirements, clinical trial data, and assays performances. Company Projects: Designed individualized quarterly projects with supervisor for personal goals and objectives. Projects included developing standardized training protocols for the Cystic Fibrosis molecular assay and assisting in maintaining customer communication documentation for national Molecular Applications Specialist team.
