Daily Duties at Brown Brothers Harriman:
• Design and execute new system processes, procedures, and enhancements for our clients • Oversee and review work of Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants to minimize risk and material differences to the NAV of the Mutual Funds • Developed and enhanced a Cash Collateral process of distinct securities that are segregated from liquid cash, so our ING client could trade them in USD and EUR currencies in the most productive manner • Collaborate with our Security Master Filing team to facilitate the setup of Short-Term, ABS, MBS, and bond securities to mature, accrue income, and paydown correctly to meet market standards • Book options, futures, forwards, spots, and securities on our Money Market funds and daily funds and subsequently monitor and reconcile them to third party sources, brokers, and client holdings to assure our funds are hedged and priced with accurate currencies, prices, and foreign exchange rates • Process all late trades instructed by our clients before a nightly deadline and validate their positions on a “Start of Day” file to protect them from overselling any of their assets • Research and resolve discrepancies between the balance sheet accounts that make up the trial balance and the subsidiary reports that support the ledger balances to ensure data integrity for audits, client reporting, and nightly fund valuations
